North American Waterfowl Management Plan Workshop Print E-mail

The North American Waterfowl Management Plan, first signed in 1986, has remained a leading model for other international conservation plans. In large measure, this is because it is a living and evolving document that is updated periodically with engagement of the broad waterfowl conservation community. This important work is underway again with a target date of [Date], for completion. The Plan Committee is committed to engaging the waterfowl management community in generating information and direction to shape this update of the Plan. To facilitate this effort, a Plan update workshop consisting of a [Day] afternoon and a [Day] morning session is scheduled in conjunction with the North American Arctic Goose conference. This workshop will provide a summary of where the Plan revision process is to date and give participants the opportunity to weigh in on the fundamental objectives and how best to formulate these in the Plan Revision. The Plan Committee is very interested in receiving input from waterfowl managers, biologists, and administrators who are planning on attending the Conference. Please go to www.nawmprevision.org to register for this workshop.
